About the Institute
Under the aegis of Thakur Educational Group (TEG), The “Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust” established a State-of-the-Art-Campus degree college in Kandivali-West with name “ Thakur Specialized Degree College ”.
We offer a range of bachelor degree programs designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today’s competitive job market. As one of the best colleges in Mumbai, our programs are delivered in accordance with the National Education Policy -2020, fostering a multidisciplinary approach. This flexibility allows students to convert their chosen 3-year bachelor degree program into a 4-year degree program with Honours or a 4-year degree program with Research by adding an extra year to their studies. The focus remains on Holistic Student Development, preparing them for better employment and higher studies opportunities in India and Abroad. All programs are affiliated with the University of Mumbai and commenced in the Academic Year 2024-25.
Thakur Specialized Degree College (TSPDC) offers a diverse range of options including B.A. degree courses in subjects like Psychology, Philosophy, and Economics. In the Science stream, we provide a strong foundation through Bachelor of Science courses in Chemistry, Physics, Botany, and Zoology. Looking to enter the exciting fields of technology? We also offer cutting-edge programs like Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and B Sc Computer Science course. Additionally, we offer a B SC Data Science degree, catering to the growing demand for data analysis expertise.
The college campus is spread over one acre of land having ICT-based smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratory of Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, and Electronics . Common facilities include spacious Auditorium, Seminar Hall, wi-fi enabled classes and library that can accommodate large number of students in its huge reading Hall. To accommodate the expanding needs of students, the institute offers a cutting-edge infrastructure with large number of classrooms and a digital technology setting. Moreover, the college promotes a strong aptitude of research with an environment of explanation and investigation.
The campus has a large cricket and football field and a turf. The institute facilitates the college canteen, boys hostel amenities, and open quadrangles. Students at the college take part in extracurricular activities, such as the Intercollegiate Fest and cultural competitions held throughout the city. They also go on field trips, industrial visits, attend seminars, and participate in conferences that are organised by each department to expose them to real-world business situations.

Institute has planned and proposed to start Professional undergraduate courses in Science like B.Sc. (Information Technology), B.Sc. (Data Science), B.Sc. (Computer Science), and in commerce like B.COM (Accounting & Finance), B.M.S (Management Studies) and B.A (Psychology).
